Fat Fashion 12

Just a quick OOTD, my camera was a little wonky, sorry about the quality.

Cardigan:  Avenue
Tank/Skirt/Leggings: Old Navy
Shoes:  Marshalls
Jewelry:  JC Penney

I love these open-front cardigans, they are so great to wear over just about everything.  The skirt is kind of hard to see, it actually is more a-line than it looks, the tank just kind of pressed it down.  I like to wear this skirt with a tucked in shirt as well and a cardi over it to show off the skirt more.  I'll try to get some better quality pics for the next one!

Have a great weekend!

Fat Fashion Friday 11

Finally, a return to fatshion!
Hat- J.C. Penney's
Poncho- Fashion Bug (Loop 18)
Long Sleeve T- Old Navy
Jeans- Old Navy
Boots- Rainbow
Earrings- Claire's

First off, the poncho.  Not my colors, not even my style but this shirt is made of such a soft sweater/sweatshirt kind of a material that when I tried it on I loved it.  That being said, it's pilling already after two wearings!  Fashion Bug now carries a junior plus section called Loop 18 which has some great pieces, definitely worth checking out.  And speaking of soft, the long sleeve T I am wearing is from Old Navy and again, it's super soft and comfy and comes in lots of colors.  I bought this in the "straight" sizes but they have similar ones online up to 4X.

The boots.  I have never had knee length boots, ever.  I went to Avenue a few weeks ago and tried on a pair of their wide-calf boots and they STILL weren't wide enough for my giant calves of DOOM!  But on a whim I went into Rainbow, after falling in love with these in the window and low and behold, they actually fit.  Sadly, they too are deteriorating after only a few wearings, but I will wear them until they are THREADS, since I've never been able to buy boots like these before.

Happy fall, everyone!  Have a great weekend!

Fat Fashion Friday 9

My first OOTD sans hair!

Tube Top- Old Navy
Bermuda Shorts- Old Navy
Cons- Marshall's
Hat- Dots
Necklace- Forever 21
Earrings- Amazon

I bought my first two tube tops ever this summer.  (I've had tube dresses before but for some reason I feel like that's different.)  This one from ON is nice because it has a band at the top and the bottom to make sure it stays in place.  Also, teal is my FAVORITE color so anything teal is okay by me.  The shorts I have been living in this summer, because they are really stretchy and comfortable and don't ride up like my short shorts do.  The hat I got at Dots, moments after I shaved my head and I think it totally works!

That's me, with all my rolls and none of my hair!  Have a great weekend!

Fat Fashion Friday 8

Cardigan:  Fashion Bug
Sleeveless Ruffle Top- Dress Barn
Skinny Jeans- Old Navy
Sandals- Kohls
Necklace- Pugster @ Amazon

I went into Dress Barn over the weekend because I had a coupon and I figured I'd see if they had anything that wasn't ridiculously expensive.  I tried on a whole bunch of stuff, but the instant I put on this ruffle top, I knew I HAD to have it.  It's really comfortable and it looks great.  I paired it with my lace cardi from Fashion Bug and dark skinny jeans, for a dressed up yet casual look.

I love glass jewelry.  It's always colorful and unique, which is why it's my favorite!

Have a great weekend everyone and happy International No Diet Day!

Early Fat Fashion

Hey all, between a giant pile of grad school homework and getting out of town for a much-needed weekend away, I'm going to do a quick fashion post today and try to resume normal functioning next week.  Please bear with me until the three papers and two tests I have left are done and things can get back to normal.  Thanks!

Cardi/Tank/skirt/leggings- Old Navy
Belt- Fashion Bug
Shoes- Sears

I was drawn to this skirt because of the color, it's basically Kelly green, which is a color I almost never wear because I love teal so much.  But the skirt is so pretty and spring-y I couldn't resist!  The tank is cute, but because the flowers are painted on, when I put it over the girls it looks all cracked which is not cool.  Anyway, I think overall it is a nice look and I'm excited to start branching into colors I've been told not to wear or censored myself.

Everyone have a great week, and stay tuned for posts next week!

Fat Fashion Friday 6

Cardigan- Old Navy
Dress/Leggings- Old Navy Plus
Shoes- Target

I decided I should start differentiating between Old Navy bought in the store and Old Navy plus bought online.  ON goes up to a size 20 in the store and an XXL.  Online they have sizes 16-30 or 4X.  I personally vary a lot, but I generally can wear 16 in their pants XL, XXL or 1X in their shirts and dresses so I shop both frequently.  This dress is a 1X and the cardi is an XXL.  Anyway, it's a great dress, nice comfortable jersey with pretty flowers on the bottom!  It's the kind of dress Old Navy is great for, so comfy you could sleep in it, but pretty enough that you look and feel great.  Here's one without the cardi, yay for my right to bare arms!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Fat Fashion Friday 5

Cardigan/T-shirt/Leggings- Old Navy
Skirt- Fashion Bug
Shoes- Target

I wasn't sure about the bolero-style cardigan but it really works well with a-line dresses and skirts so it doesn't get in the way of the shape it makes.  I know it's a little thing but I also love the gray/black alternating, I think it's fun.

Sorry this post is a little late everyone, things are kind of crazy around here.  Have a fantastic weekend!

Fat Fashion Friday 4

Hey all!  Here's a quick OOTD to kick off the weekend.

Sharkbite Tee/ Earrings/ Necklace- Fashion Bug
Jeans- Old Navy
Shoes- Sears

Sorry the pic is so dark, my camera is a strange little monkey sometimes.  I seriously can't get enough of these sharkbite t-shirts.  They are so comfortable, but you look like a million bucks in them!  The necklace is also totally fabulous, it is a class heart in the middle with two beaded chains around it, super cute!  Here's a close up of it!

Also, be sure to check out The Rotund's latest post about normalizing our bodies.  There are some AMAZING outfits on there!

Have a great weekend!

Outfit of the Day: I'm Dreaming of a Fat Christmas

One of my Christmas presents was a new camera!  So I figured my Christmas outfit would be a great first OOTD.  I'm not going to do a whole lot of these but I would like to show off a few of my finds:

Dress: Ross (Wishes Wishes Wishes)
Sweater:  Fashion Bug
Leggings:  Old Navy
Shoes:  Kmart (Bongo)

I ordered red tights to wear with this outfit from We Love Colors, but they didn't make it in time. I may have to just wear this again when we go see my family next week, I think red will really make the outfit.  The best part about the dress is that it has pockets.  I love pockets and it is totally unfair that women's clothing so often lacks them.  The sweater is great too, because I can wear it with a dress like this, or it still looks good with jeans and a cami.

There's one without the sweater.  It really is a cute dress, and not a style I would have bought before reading Fatshion blogs, but I have to say I love it!
